Jerry Marti joined the firm as a partner in November 2019. He focuses his practice on insurance coverage, fraud, subrogation, no-fault, and insurance defense matters. Previously, Jerry served over ten years as staff counsel for Travelers Insurance Company, first as Team Leader of the no-fault practice group in New York City and later as Senior Counsel of the general liability practice group in Buffalo, NY. While with Travelers, Jerry received the Award of Excellence for his contributions to the company.

Jerry has extensive experience with all stages of litigation, including trials to verdict, appeals, arbitrations, and mediations. He has successfully litigated hundreds of insurance defense cases in the areas of motor vehicle, premises liability, NY Labor Law, Supplementary Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist ("SUM"), and no-fault throughout New York State.

After graduating from Cornell Law School, Jerry started his career as a prosecutor for the Queens County District Attorney's office where he conducted homicide and sex abuse investigations, served as lead appellate counsel, and handled misdemeanor domestic violence cases. Upon entering private practice, Jerry conducted insurance fraud investigations for a major insurance carrier. He also expanded his practice to include coverage litigation with policyholders or other insurers.

Jerry is admitted to the practice of law in New York State, each of the United States District Courts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. In service to the community, he has worked on various pro bono cases for public interest groups in the Western New York region. He is a proud supporter of his alma maters and volunteers as an alumni mentor to students. Jerry resides with his wife in Amherst, NY.
